what's left for me in the rooms? i've slept inside and gazed around the biggest lessons are in the nuance the slightest shift in my eyes growing means the way you look at the things you knew so close expand change shape and colour i grow and learn what i don't know the more you don't know the less you know the more you don't know the less you know the more you don't know the less you know the more you don't know the less you know

i wrote a list of thoughts in my head the words spilled over into a mess still they picked them up and threw them around we caught them like moths one by one sending your time via the post i rolled down the windows and let all float overwhelming and kind are the things you sent we'll open them when they don't seem pretend i turn short ideas into tall sounds and they spin around our heads like nice flowers you hand them out to all of our friends and smiling and cool is all that we lend i did nothing much i did nothing much i did nothing much i did nothing much

you think you're the sun but you don't warm anyone you think you're the sun but you don't warm anyone i'd like to stay on the ground 'cause where you are things are too loud i'd like to stay on the ground 'cause where you are things are too loud i'd like to stay on the ground where you are things are too loud i'd like to stay on the ground where you are things are too loud

how far does the tunnel we made reach? who's on the other side and listening? how long will we slink around with this naivete? who's going to skew how we respond to things? we've sat on the midnight bus seen the same buildings still our legs move in polyrhythms i push out into the air sounds that hurt at least that's something we have in common we've sat on the midnight bus seen the same buildings still our legs move in polyrhythms i push out into the air sounds that hurt at least that's something we have in common

about

These songs were written between the years 2015-2019 in the great city of Te Papaioea.

Thank you to Jesse and James for your help with getting these songs out, thanks for believing in us. A special thank you to James for your patience, practical support, and commitment to our project. Thank you to Harry, you were there for us when these songs were written and have been ever since. Likewise to the Bowatte and Petersen whanau, and our PN friends.

Finally, this EP would not be released and we would not be playing together again (probably) without the tireless dedication of those involved with Girls Rock Camp Aotearoa! Kia tika e rangatahi panapana!!
